Project Description
In this project, I learned how to use Weebly by creating my own website. Our Computer Science teacher, Mr. Hazlet, gave us a list of elements to include in our website (images, slideshows, contact forms, etc.). We were encouraged to create our website about a topic that we were interested in. I chose to create a website about sloths.

Why did I include this project?
I decided to include this website in my portfolio because I am happy with how it turned out. My website isn't very detailed because it was only created for practice, but I put a lot of effort into making it esthetically pleasing. I enjoyed creating this website because it was about a topic that I was interested in.
What 21st Century Skills does this project address?
I practiced using information skills by creating this project. I gathered information to successfully navigate Weebly. I also had to research sloths to create the content of my website. I used information skills to gather the facts I needed from the articles I researched.
How does this project demonstrate my current growth?
This project challenged me to integrate new forms of technology and use the internet as a source for information. This project shows that I can successfully navigate new forms of technology and gather information.
How could I improve this project? (New Growth)
I think that I could improve my project by integrating more website elements. I experimented with the elements listed in the lesson plan, but I did not go out of my way to explore other options. I think that my website would be a lot more engaging if I had a greater variety of elements.
