Project Description
We chose a project from a website called Instructables to build at home. The project that we chose had to be safe, doable, and interesting. In addition to building our project, we had to create slideshows to document our project's progression. I decided to create a carboard model of WALL-E holding a shoe planter.

Why do I want to show this work?
This was the most challenging project that I've had in Engineering this year. I ran into many challenges when I was constructing my project. I put a lot of time into it. Although I had some time in class to work on it, most of the work I did for this project was done in my own time. There is a lot of room for improvement, but I am happy with how my project turned out.
What 21st Century Skills does this project address?
I think this project addresses thinking and problem solving skills. I needed to use some math skills to design my cardboard model. Even though I tried to plan out my design beforehand, I still ran into unexpected challenges along the way. I had to identify problems, and solve them using what I had available.
How does this project represent my current growth?
This project challenged me to improvise and be creative. I tried to prepare myself for the difficulties I would face in my project by planning it out carefully, but I still ran into unexpected challenges later on. I had to come up with creative solutions to problems that faced during the construction of my model.
How could I improve this project?
I think that I could make my project more stable and neat. My model was slightly wobbly and the decorations looked a little messy. I could have put more thought into making my model stable and solid, and spent more time planning it out before constructing it. My project would have looked neater if I was more careful when working on the details of my model.
